Meet the team
Brett Fitzhenry
His keen interest in contributing to the the meat and dairy sectors is one of the reasons he joined AgriVantage. And a key reason we welcomed him to the team.
“Well aware of the significant investment that farmers make in genetics, my goal is to influence nutritional choices to realise the full genetic potential of these valuable animals, thereby helping to improve farm profitability” says Brett.
“I am success driven. And, for me, success is gaining an understanding of individual farming businesses and having a positive impact – that is, helping farmers to grow healthy, strong, profitable animals in a sustainable manner.
“Having seen the proven science behind the AgriVantage product range, I am confident of being able to help eliminate the stress associated with young animal rearing, ensuring optimal outcomes.”
Born in South Africa, Brett grew up on a drystock farm. He moved to New Zealand in 2016, initially working on a dairy farm in the Waikato.

Cheryl Farrar
Her understanding of the challenges and objectives on farms all-round the South Island makes her a great asset to the AgriVantage team and hopefully to your business too.
Cheryl’s story starts on a dairy farm at Reefton on the West Coast, where she grew up. She began her career as a dairy farmer at Mosgiel, milking 1,200 cows. She also reared calves for several years.
Prior to joining AgriVantage, Cheryl worked as South Island Sales Consultant for Fiberfresh, Territory Manager for CRV and Technical Sales Consultant for Milkbar.
Her time at CRV and now with AgriVantage appeals to her interest in breeding and rearing animals to maximise their genetic potential.
“It’s great to be part of a business that is focused on rearing healthy animals, selling products that are scientifically developed and proven effective. I am passionate about these products and helping farmers to use them to best effect.”
Cheryl stresses that she does not take a one size fits all approach. “Finding solutions for individual farms is what I am about.”
